Correspondent Mortgage Final Docs Specialist

Territory: Pompano Beach, FL


The Final Docs Specialist will be responsible for providing support in all areas of Final Docs, including Post Purchase Clearing, Government Insuring, Final Documents, Shipping, and Central Scanning to ensure loans are completed accurately and on time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  •   Problem resolution on complex issues involving federal regulations, credit underwriting,  
  •  Maintain records of issues on files; this allows identification of processes to improve or make corrections.
  •  Receives, opens and appropriately identifies all incoming final document mail and matches with corresponding loan file.
  •   Enters received date and type of document received into LOS/Fusion for each loan.
  •   Verifies if loan has been purchased by an investor
  •   Logs out scanned documents to investors on purchased loans.
  •   Files documents on non-purchased loans following designated procedures.
  •  Verify all files are insured
  •   Scans government insuring follow-up documents into LOS/Fusion.
  •   Maintains a professional image and adheres to standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  •   Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

  •  +5 years of Mortgage experience
  •  High school diploma or equivalent


Language Skills

Ability to effectively present complex information in a simple, logical, and brief manner and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.


Mathematical Skills

Must have excellent analytical/problem solving skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Understanding of finance and accounting principles.


Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.


Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge in Excel (pivot tables, look up tables, etc), Powerpoint, Word and Microsoft Access.

  •  Ability to handle multiple tasks in a time sensitive manner

Ability to meet deadlines.

Team player

Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment.

Exhibit excellent PC skills.
