Correspondent Mortgage Jr. Auditor

Territory: Pompano Beach, FL


Review incoming conditions for audited loan files for purchase. Ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance of submissions in accordance with investor guidelines and applicable regulations, insurer and/or guarantor requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • •Communicate loan program requirements to Processors and/or Loan Officers necessary at closing, and provide status updates.
  • •Verify loan closing package complies with insurer and/or guarantor requirements and documentation.
  • •Assist the Auditor and follow up on aged pipeline report with the Lender on outstanding conditions on loan files prior to funding.
  • Obtain and review all incoming outstanding conditions to ensure timely funding and closing of the loan. ? •Review and verify the accuracy of the final closing statements prior to closing to ensure compliance with Company, Investor, and Conventional regulations and requirements. Reconcile final figures to calculate wire amount and balance with settlement agent. ? •Submit Banking Package to Finance in accordance with required timelines. ? •Scan and archive file within Company timeframes, to ensure timely delivery of loan files to investors.

•Promptly obtain documentation requested by investors or insuring/guaranty Post Closing.

  • •Solve problems quickly, communicate effectively with internal and external customers, provide excellent customer service and work well under pressure. ?
  • •Verify and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures, as well as all applicable federal, state laws, regulatory and government standards, guidelines, rules, and/or local ordinances.

Education and/or Experience                    

  • +5 years of Mortgage experience High school diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of valid documentation and processes required to fund and close consumer mortgages (e.g., verification of employment, CD, settlement statement etc.).
  • General knowledge of overall mortgage lending internal processes and control, as well as federal, state, and regulatory requirements/guidelines related to consumer mortgage lending for Conventional loans.


Language Skills                    

Ability to effectively present complex information in a simple, logical, and brief manner and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.

Mathematical Skills                    

Must have excellent analytical/problem solving skills. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Understanding of finance and accounting principles.

Reasoning Ability                    

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills                    

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge in Excel (pivot tables, look up tables, etc), Powerpoint, Word and Microsoft Access.
