Mortgage Business Analyst - Data Warehouse Project

Territory: Franklin, TN

The Business Analyst (BA) position will serve as the primary point of contact for user communication, being the link between the technical team and the lines of business. The Person will be collaborating with stakeholders and other technology areas to analyze pros and cons in order to determine requirements to architect, design, develop, test, and implement a new Data Warehouse. The BA follows the standards, methodologies, polices and processes directed by industry best practices and the Project Management methodology of a lean and Agile team. The BA role requires an individual who has depth within several of the following disciplines; business process modeling, project management methodologies, information management, vendor performance, and mortgage operations.

 

  • 3-5 Years of relevant experience as Business Analyst.
  • Database and Data Warehousing fundamentals. Experience with Data Modeling tools and      techniques.
  • Hands on work with schema design and definition in a data warehouse environment
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with other Technology and Business areas.
  • Accurate and detail oriented documentation.
  • Ability to create reporting solutions and not just individual reports.
  • Strong flexible interpersonal communication with clear and articulate speech.
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Project Office, Excel, Team Foundation Server and other Project Management tools.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent business experience in the field of computer science or business administration.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in Mortgage operations, experience in systems analysis, process modeling, process design, suggesting and implementing process improvements.
  • Understanding of financial services software or LOS systems.
  • Experience with reporting workflow and lifecycle.
  • Experience creating reports.
  • SQL and Tableau experience a plus
  • PMP certification and Aris experience desired.
