Correspondent Lending Account Representative

Territory: Pompano Beach, FL

This position is responsible for the overall performance monitoring, tracking and day to day communication with the correspondent lenders. Interacts with internal staff from Operations, Sales, Capital Markets, Credit Risk & Administration and Technology to deliver high level support to all clients. Attends applicable industry conferences, as needed, to assist Sales in representing First Bank in the Correspondent Market Space.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  •  Assist interested lenders in completing the initial application process.
  •  Implement standard welcome call and ongoing training calls with correspondents.
  •  Communicate daily with correspondent lenders on matters relating to initial approval, on going due diligence, changes to approval status and annual renewal of lender approvals.
  •  Construct and maintain due diligence files for new and existing lender so that initial and annual reviews are complete and meet internal and external audit requirements.
  •  Maintain and analyze periodic reports for the purpose of assessing correspondent performance. Highlighting any lender deficiencies and or unique characteristics relevant to lender performance Correspondent Scorecard Management and distribution
  •  Support the sales staff in account development and managing the performance of existing accounts, and monitoring customer quality and contract compliance
  •  Website support for Correspondents
  •  Consistently provide detailed and knowledgeable answers to more complicated questions and issues raised by correspondents and internal personnel
  •  Approximately 30% travel required

Education and/or Experience

  •  BS degree or 1+ years of related experience
  •  Correspondent Lending Experience preferred

 

Language Skills

Ability to professionally communicate clearly in a simple, logical, and precise manner and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, sales, and internal operations staff.

 

Reasoning Ability

Ability to effectively gather, review and present complex information in a clear, organized, and brief manner that can be easily followed by groups of managers, clients, sales, and internal operations staff.

 

Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have extensive knowledge in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

 

Other Skills and Abilities

  •  Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator
  •  Ability to handle multiple tasks in a time sensitive manner
  •  Experience in Retail, Wholesale and Correspondent Lending, preferred
  •  Experience with Comergence, preferred
  •  Experience hosting live Web Trainings, preferred
