Security Operations Specialist

Territory: Nashville, TN

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Serves a vital role in ensuring compliance with the Bank Protection Act/Regulation H. Provides field support for physical security needs across the organization. Areas of work include alarm, surveillance, access control, cash storage, drive-through systems and others. Performs periodic risk assessments and site reviews. Oversees physical security projects by providing onsite assessment and internal and external activities coordination. Provides onsite physical security training regarding security equipment and procedures. Serves as backup to Physical Security Administrator.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  

  • Provide field support for security projects  throughout the organization. This includes facility construction and renovation projects, systems upgrades and other change and repair needs.
  • Oversee and coordinate remote site work, to include scope-of-work development assistance, scheduling and coordination of relevant service providers and internal activities/areas, performing installation and operational reviews and performing end user training.
  • Perform periodic site risk assessments and other security reviews. Work with investigators and Physical Security Administrator to recommend and accomplish equipment adjustments as needed.
  • Assist in remediating site security issues and challenges, to include tracking and reporting on issues identified through the quarterly site reporting process.
  • Perform periodic remote quality control assessments of physical security systems and make recommendations for equipment replacement as performance, serviceability and maintenance costs dictate.
  • Participate in design of physical security systems and solutions across the organization, to include policy and procedural enhancements and delivery of associated training.
  • Augment and serve as backup for Physical Security Administrator.
  • Provide ongoing end user support for security systems.
  • Assist with physical security vendor management activities, and coordinate internal improvements through Corporate Real Estate.
  • Assist investigators in evidence gathering as requested.
  • Perform incident response for physical security, business continuity and other events.
  • Serve as administrator for the Departmentís intranet presence.
  • Assist in refining and maintaining relevant physical security policies, standards and procedures; and discharge responsibilities in accordance with written guidance.
  • Assist in maintaining equipment records, floor plan device layouts, contact lists and other important elements for each facility.
  • Perform all duties within assigned budget.
  • Provide ongoing feedback for improvement of all security-related programs and      processes; and assist with implementation of improvements as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of three years of physical security or related experience, preferably in banking.
  • Working knowledge of security systems and procedures.
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) or similar certification preferred.
  • Project management knowledge or experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact across the organization and with third-parties.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
