Application Access Manager

Territory: Nashville, TN

The Application Access Manager (AAM) is responsible for ensuring all user access rights to information systems follow the User Access Administration Policy and other Bank documentation to confirm roles are correct based on user function, business needs, and appropriate segregation of duties requirements. Performs “second line of defense” user access administration duties by coordinating and tracking periodic reviews by authorized departmental parties, ensuring access rights are updated in a timely fashion as needs change (termination, position duty changes, new systems, regulatory requirements etc.). Supports and supervises Access Administrators with systems and user-specific permissions selection.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Act as the primary contact for user rights guidance across all bank and mortgage operations, assisting leadership and management with associated activities.
  • Collaborate with leadership and business units regarding user rights access and permissions to promote, grow and mature the program in a manner appropriate to the environment.
  • Lead tactical initiatives and serve as lead within user administration related activities.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a full spectrum of reporting methodologies and supporting documentation, including procedures.
  • Educate constituents on user rights related matters and assist in system evaluations to include third-party systems.
  • Assist lines of business and Access Administrators in developing, implementing and maintaining standards, procedures, and metrics.
  • Perform examinations of Access Administrators’ periodic reviews.
  • Assist in preparing for audits and exams in areas of responsibility and develop responses and action items for associated findings.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of FirstBank business objectives, operations, products, policies and procedures to effectively assist in the development of appropriate user administration practices.
  • Develop and maintain credible relationships across the organization and with external resources to promote user administration practices that balance controls and risks.
  • Support general risk management philosophies across the organization.
  • Primary responsibility for Privileged Access Management system (setup, administration, maintenance).
  • Identify and assist in providing training, including education on philosophies, management processes, policies, standards and procedures and associated tools.
  • Assist and support information security, information technology and other specialists with integration of programs intersecting with user administration.
  • Participate in appropriate industry associations.
  • Maintain appropriate certification(s).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Actively involved in decisions for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

Education: Undergraduate degree in information systems or related field

Experience: 3+ years relevant user administration and Privileged Access Mgmt systems

Certifications & Licenses: Relevant industry certification (CISA or similar) preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Risk Management – Ability to perform information systems audit, identity access management, and/or information security.
  • Business Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
  • Moderate Computer Skills - Frequent use of electronic mail, word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.
  • Strong Communication and Collaboration- Regularly uses complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others and make presentations to department or middle management.
  • Moderate Independent Judgement - Results are defined; sets goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
  • Varied Business Problems - Problems are varied and complex, requiring analysis or interpretation of the situation. Problems are solved using knowledge and skills, general precedents and practices, and may collaborate with other operating areas.
