Mortgage Servicing Associate I

Territory: Nashville, TN

The Mortgage Servicing Associate I position will report directly to a Mortgage Servicing Manager and be responsible for supporting the Mortgage Servicing Department of FirstBank.  Eligible candidates will demonstrate knowledge of mortgage servicing and will utilize various mortgage operating systems to on-board mortgage loans and clear exceptions from sub-servicer reports. Other servicing duties will include general customer service, wiring escrow balances, coordinating with accounting and other lines of business to effectuate efficient and accurate servicing of mortgage loans.  This associate will help support several lines of business including, but not necessarily limited to Retail, Consumer Direct, Wholesale, and Correspondent.  Eligible candidates will also demonstrate ability to manage emotional customer inquiries, respond to requests timely, and ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer data.


  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university is preferred.
  • 2+ years in mortgage required, 2+ years in mortgage servicing preferred.
  • As a condition of employment all new-hires will be required to complete a background check and possible drug testing.
  • Encompass and/or MortgageBot experience a plus.

  • Ability to learn, interpret, and reconcile loan exception reports.

  • Data entry accuracy and efficient.
  • Ability to read and interpret internal policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to accept and accomplish correlated tasks as assigned by manager.
